Foodies can not only eat, but they can cook.

I decided that instead of only doing reviews and suggestions of restuarants I love but I would also add my favorite recipes. So, I'd like to start with my Sister's Guacamole Recipe, which is my absolute favorite.

Ingredients
4 avocados - peeled, pitted, and mashed
2 lime, juiced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup diced onion
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 roma (plum) tomatoes, diced
1 teaspoon minced garlic

Directions
In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.

So, freakin' good. lol

Welcome to Foodies Anonymous

My name is Kris and I am a Foodie. The first step is realization and the second step is to write about all the great food you eat!

Today’s Foodie Inspiration is Red Rock Canyon. My fiance', Coy and I decided to go this past Friday. We ordered two glasses of wine each. I had Chardonnay, Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve (My FAVE) and he had Pinot Noir, Wild Horse. Then we each had a house salad with their house dressing which has a sweet southwest ranch dressing, corn bread croutons and crisp lettuce. It also includes carrots, tomatoes and pure deliciousness. For an appetizer we chose the "Famous Iron-Skillet Corn Bread", if you like corn bread this is a great choice it had a mixture of finely cut peppers cooked in. For our main course we chose to order the Rib-eye, cooked medium. It was so perfectly cooked and tasty. The rib-eye came with mashed red potatoes, which had a garlic kick and green beans. A very delicious meal for two foodies.

Everyone should try Red Rock Canyon, not only do they have a fabulous dinner menu but also offer an amazing Sunday brunch.
